Grooming Procedures
The following procedures are followed:
- The dog is brushed through and checked thoroughly
- Pre-work - The body is clipped, nails / feet and groin are trimmed and the ears are cleaned
- The dog is washed, rinsed and conditioned. The shampoos are fully hypo-allergenic which are kind to even the most sensitive of skins
- A blaster dryer is used to remove excess water, massage the skin and dry the coat
- After the bath the dog is given a loo break and briefly rested
- Once the coat is totally dry, he / she has a second body clip
- The face, feet, legs, ears, undercarriage and rear-end are all hand trimmed to a final style. (The final cut is based on the usual breed standard, but takes into account the clients specific requirements, which could be long ears / short ears, skirt / no skirt, coat clipped short / coat clipped with some coat length etc)
- Nails are clipped (if considered necessary)
- A non-hypoallergenic scented cologne spray is applied
- The dog is walked and then put into cage to rest, while waiting for the owner to come and collect it
